The HERSL is deeply saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Andy Carroll.
Until recently, Andy played for Clarence A, and was a strong player, a fierce competitor and a friendly character.
Teammate Dave Ramage paid tribute to him saying, "I practised a lot with Andy when he came to play for Clarence. Always had a laugh with him and never heard him say a bad word about anyone. I'd hoped he would come back and play for us at Clarence again. Great lad, great player. So sad at a young age. RIP my friend."
Former captain, Mark Beetham, added, "Andy was a gent with a great sense of humour and played snooker like it should have been played. Very good player."
We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Andy's family and friends.
